Reasons you might like Freezing..

eaper says..

These series each follow a large group of super powered women and an unusual male lead. While learning to fight, great powers awaken that amaze everyone. Also, there is a lot of ecchiness in each series.

RisikaFox says..

If you liked Infinite Stratos or Freezing, you'd enjoy the other because they're both about high-school girls with super powers. There's also plenty of ecchi. While Freezing has a slightly more serious tone to the plot, the two shows have similar themes.

scizorg45 says..

Women with superpowers. Add one guy. Awesome. While freezing has more guys(somewhere stuffed in the background) they both generally resolve around one particular male and a group of female.

If you liked one, check out the other.

KittyEmperor says..

Both series center around the concept that women have special abilities and the fact that the male lead also holds power equal to greater than those of the women. Throw in a good amount of ecchi and these series are pretty similar. Though Infinite Stratos is a harem and never really gets and Freezing does get quite serious and violent at times. I still sure that if you liked one of these then you'll probably like the other as well.

RedCrossRobbery says..

Looking for good Mecha/Ecchi series? These two handle very similarly. A male lead character that can use the mecha's in a way nobody could before, and the group of women that follow his every step.

Nikolas3 says..

If you ever watched IS you have to watch Sekirei and Freezing. If you like that kinda of anime style then those two are good to watch before or after. Both animes has a good story, and both heroes fights for something. If you like romantic and fights you will be loved in Sekirei and Freezing. In both ways boys have a harem around him. If you want more 'brain use' you can watch Sekirei because there the boy is not so stupid :P. But I liked both of them. Ofcourse Sekirei is 1 season longer, and thats why its good.

Just watch them both and i promise you will not regret.

Ghoul9615 says..

These two anime are so much alike it's crazy, the story may be different but there are so many similarites. Freezing and Infinite Stratos both are harems although Freezing has a more ecchi side to it. Both the main characters stands out, Infinte Stratos his the only male who can use a IS and in Freezing the main characters ability is significantly higher than other males.

Both the main characters has a famous older sister who are known to be the strongest IS user/Pandora. Freezing has a darker feel to it rather than Infinite Stratos but if you liked one of them you are bound to like the other.

gpardini says..

both animes feel the same way! really hot chicks that fight and a special lucky guy in the middle of the futuristic school enviroment!

sunnytwo says..

Freezing and Infinite Stratos are very similar. Both anime are realy great and i would absolutely recommend you to watc them, 5out of 5 for both of them. They take place in the future and they battle with summond gears against each other. The only diffrence in story line is that IS is a complete harem-scenario anime. But both are worth youre while.

batmannoLuckysocks says..

Echhi, harem, etc. Freezings a little darker than IS and has a bit of dismemberement but both are fairly enjoyable.

Brad says..

A ridiculous amount of fanservice, a group of battle hardened super-powered girls chasing after a bland male lead and a plot that is pretty generic. These shows have it all in common.

If fanservice is your thing then these series are perfect for you, although Freezing is a fair bit more explicit than Infinite Stratos ever gets.

Thrawn says..

So, how about them boobs. Good stuff, fanservice a plenty and both shows have plenty of them to jiggle around. Well, Freezing to a greater extent but babes who get super powers or some higher power over guys, complete with harems, a less than great male protagonist (Wussbag Wimp-Lo for Freezing and Star-Grade Density for Infinite Stratos), delicious ecchi scenarios, fights against bad girls and budding romances with a pointless fanservice filler episode or two. Freezing is by far the more explicit of the two in terms of nudity and violence but both are still decent watches if you're in the mood for nothing too taxing on the brain.

LordMace says..

They are both similar that in a combat school setting both males have a unique ability. Both are filled with Harem, Action, and Ecchi. They are very similar in a great deal of ways including many of the characters.

Kirito2424 says..

Both of these shows are great, interesting, and intense with schools made to teach you to fight while both contain a bit of romance they also have competition amongst students and also outside enemies that bring these teenage rivals together to fight.

oberwiesdairy says..

The First season is great and quite similar to infinite stratos. There's much more nudity in Freezing and has a more serious feel to it. The second season looses its way as a harem and hardly ever includes the male protaginist.

hamletsmage says..

Both of these ecchi anime include a young man going to a school where the female population is vastly greater than the male. (In IS, he's the only male, in Freezing there are a few other guys seen) This leads to a lot of girl-on-girl turf wars, which often gets out of hand because the girls either have special abilities that make them extremely powerful.

Demon King Daimao

  • TV(12 eps)
  • 2010

Akuto Sai enters the Constant Academy for Magick Arts hoping to become a high priest and change the world for the better. But when the school's oracle declares his future profession to be 'Demon Lord', he finds himself feared and hated by the entire student population. Now, instead of making comrades and studying for his exam, Akuto finds himself fighting off monsters, bullies, and well-meaning classmates in various states of undress. If navigating a magical high school as a transfer student wasn't difficult enough, Akuto now has to deal with a cute android ordered to observe him 24-hours a day, the precocious attention of the flying, invisible and naked Keena Soga and the advances of the school's most popular girl. Will he be able to overcome his fate, pass his classes, and mend his friendship with the violent Junko Hattori, or will he succumb to his demonic destiny?

Reasons you might like Demon King Daimao..

Tomthe1337 says..

Both of these anime fit the ecchi/harem genre while maintaining an unusually high level of quality for the genre. Both main characters are unusually skilled considering the amount of training/experience they've undergone, and have very unusual circumstances. Lastly, both main characters aren't spineless and thus come across as confident, giving both shows a steady, driving pace that will keep viewers entertained.

Takeya says..

When I saw the first episode I started to wonder whether the IS has not been created by the creators of the Daimaou.

Stories are quite similar - a boy X goes to school, where he learns how to control his abilities. 'Unfortunately' for him he becomes a love object of several girls (let's harem begin!), but he seems be not interested in love (yea, chicks can wait, I have more important goals!).

If you enjoyed Daimaou/IS, then you'll like the second one :)

eaper says..

While feature high speed action, a harem, and a lot of fanservice, these series both have the main characters fighting a mysterious force. If you enjoy harems, ecchi, and action, these series work well together.

KittyEmperor says..

Both series revolve around a young man who goes to a special school so that he can learn to control his abilities. Though in the case of Ichiban abilities means learning to control magic and in Infinite Stratos(IS) it means learning how to properly control this mech suit. Also in both cases the male lead finds himself in the company of some rather attractive ladies. So if you like something with a decent amount of action and a good amount of fan service then look no further than either one of these.

Am3n says..

realy great anime. But fights are kind'a boring. still story is great. Realy loved romance story. IS and Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou has great interest in how girls feels about boys and boys about girls.

Thrawn says..

One man and his harem, when combined have enough power to fight a war. Both shows are about a guy building up his harem and going through a school life out of the ordinary (Mecha for IS and magic for Daimaou), complete with some delicious ecchi, the obligatory beach episode and that lovable, genre-savvy harem member.

silvericeman92 says..

two awesome shows one guy surround by ladies who all like him, while being clueless about it always a sure way to add some humor and some pretty awesome fight scenes

Strike Witches TV

  • 2008

In the year 1939 an unknown enemy called the Neuroi appeared. Their purpose is unclear and origin is unknown, but they attack and destroy any signs of human civilization they come across. After witnessing an attack by the Neuroi on her way to find out if her father is still alive, Miyafuji resolves herself to fight for and protect the people around her. Who or what are the Neuroi and what do they want?

Reasons you might like Strike Witches TV..

eaper says..

Mysterious force: check.

Girls in almost no clothes: check.

Girls being the only ones able to fight in mecha like things (for the most part): check.

Ecchi: check.

If these are the reasons you are watching one of these series, go check out the other.

KittyEmperor says..

If you liked one of these then you may like the other because in both series the main pilots of these rather special equipment can only be piloted by women, though in Infinite Stratos the male lead is the only guy capable of also piloting one of these units. Also in both cases the outfits the girls wear are rather no existent or at least missing a few items. Though Strike Witches deals more with a larger war that is going on and Infinite Stratos is for the most part about people going to a special school they both still feel somewhat similar.

corkboard says..

Both shows are about girls who operate special girl-only mechs. Each of the girls represents a stereotype of her respective country. The enemy in each is a mystery, and there is a strong current of international intrigue in each. Both are loaded with delicious ecchi.

Infinite Stratos is a harem comedy while Strike Witches is more about building friendships. Both have great plots and battle sequences, and many of the characters have almost direct parallels. If you loved either one, you'll certainly love its counterpart. Both are excellent.

DeViouZ says..

They have a similar kind of story setting and both with characters that look awfully similar and with few clothes.

halfdeadly says..

i totally agree. although Infinite Stratos doesnt really have anything to do with war, in both shows you have some mysterious forces, and half naked girls fighting with some extra gear.

Madoka says..

If you liked IS you might find strike witches to be some great fun. SW is a female only cast so it cuts out the harem side of IS but instead replaces it with some good humor and story. The sereies use a similar concept of the girls with mech units or suits, though in SW it's more a booster attached to the legs. The series are quite similar in some comedy used and it's likely you should find SW enjoyable if you enjoyed IS

Reasons you might like Hundred..

hotsauce2000 says..

These two shows have a lot in common, both having a clear element of harem, romcom, action and mecha. Aside from a few differences here and there the shows are from the get go eerily similar in the setup, so if you like one, you'll likely like the other as well.

LZRBrick says..

It just is with me ha hot girls a harem world and mecha to boot hands down hundred is infinite stratos doppelgänger.

Soreysan says..

Cet animé est super je le recommande fortement. L'histoire, les personnages, les dessins sont tout simplement énormes.

Rastamepas says..

Honestly both Infinite Stratos and Hundred the same thing different light novels. Both are about guy who enters a school which surprisingly has a high amount of females.

Both are heavy in action with a big cast of harem canidates and plenty of fan service for the ecchi lovers.

So if you like typical harem male leads in an action mecha show you'll like either show.

Crizy says..

Quite similar, they both have the same kind of suit/armor they wear while using the same looking Mechs. Hundred and Infinite Stratos also have the same type of male protagonist who's followed by many women and finds himself in multiple funny embarassing situations with them. Only difference is that Mechs in Infinite Stratos were basically created for sports, on the other hand, in Hundred they were directly made to fight Savages. Ecchi and Action are also present in both animes.

BestOtaku says..

Both of these anime are spectacular. There is suspense there is romance and hell there are even awesome fighting robots. Both of them are completely reccomended and its not hard to see why. If you truly are an otaku you will understand my reasoning.

Undefeated Bahamut Chronicle

When Lux Arcadia, former prince of the ruined Empire, sights the new kingdom’s princess, Lisesharte Atismata, naked, she challenges him to a Drag-Ride duel, beginning an odd chain reaction that will expose the dark secrets of both royal families.

Reasons you might like Undefeated Bahamut Chronicle..

aagellner says..

The main character is the only male in an all female school which teaches its students how to pilot mechas.

whaler4444 says..

seems similar. 1 guy multiple girls. both mecha's and both are about main character goes to school

Shikiya says..

Both include harem elements, machine armor thing, and attend an Academy for the machine armor users. . That's about it.

TheMooseWarrior says..

They both about guys that end up in a school for girls that pilot futuristic robo-gear

Acranehood says..

Mecha. Boy in girls school. Starting confrontation with a girl of nobility. The similarities don't stop there.

Should he survive, Kenshi will be mobbed by a hoard of comely coeds who want to make the hero their husband!

Reasons you might like Tenchi Muyo! War on Geminar..

trebuchet151 says..

Both anime have a similar feel, there is a school for piloting mecha and the main character is a male in a world of pilots that in one case is all female and in another case the males aren't piloting even though some can.

KittyEmperor says..

One guy capable of piloting a mecha surrouned by a group of women most of whom to are also capable of piloting mechs as well. Though of course there are differences for example Isekai has more of classical fantasy world feel to it and Infinite Stratos has more of a slightly furturstic feel to it. Also in Isekai that while the mecha battles are important they don't play as large of a role for a time as they do in Infinite Stratos. Still if you liked one of these then you may to check out the other as well.

Adoondas says..

In bouth anime we have a male character that is somewhat dense, is able to operate robot suits, wich is normally imposible(this reffers more to infinite stratos), and have a harem at their disposal that they are unaware of.Bouth anime have a simmilar feel to them.

Kreados says..

in both infinite stratos and Isekai no Seikisho Monogatari, society is dominated by females as they are the ones who can pilot the mecs, there are more male pilots in Monogatari then IS, but they are still as valuable. Both series have a good harem and are pretty ecchi. If you like one, chances you will like the other.

Hybrid x Heart Magias Academy Ataraxia

Having experienced that battle, known as Other World War I, humanity moved to marine floats, built for emergency evacuation purposes, as soon as Other World War II began. He has a tough time dealing with her, but when her Gear runs out of energy, the only way to get it back in action is to do something lewd to her!

Reasons you might like Hybrid x Heart Magias Academy Ataraxia..

officialtrapp3r says..

Both harem with the Mc in an all girl school, the fighting style for both is also mecha and the designs are kins of similar

Crizy says..

Matter fact they are both kind of the same type of Mecha and being related to Harem and Echhi yes you would probably like both. Even though I personnaly prefer Infinite Stratos to Masou Gakuen HxH.

stewartatstewart says..

They are very similar in both plot and concept. Hybrid x Heart Magias Academy Ataraxia is better suited to a mature audience.

AlphXcalibyr says..

These two are very similar in how they both work with the MC being a special male warrior in a category of only women and that his relationship with the women around him affect his battle performance. They are both harem style anime, and while HxH is more ecchi, they both have the MC bouncing from one girl to another and building his relationship with the each of them.

Chrome Shelled Regios

  • TV(24 eps)
  • 2009

In a post-apocalyptic world overrun with great beasts called Filth Monsters, a glimmering dome protrudes from the wasteland. This is Zuellni, a mobile city unique for having a consciousness in the form of ‘electronic fairies’. Moreover, Zuellni is an academy where the next generation of powerful Heavens-Blade wielders gather to pit their strength against each other in inter-platoon competitions. Nina Antalk, military student and leader of the 17th Platoon, is intent on recruiting only the best; thus, when mysterious Layfon Alseif transfers to the academy, she instantly recognizes his abilities and decides he’s the perfect candidate to join her group. However, with a secret past that won’t leave him alone, and unknown powers beyond the academy taking an interest in Zuellni, Layfon joining the team is only the start of all their troubles.

Reasons you might like Chrome Shelled Regios..

Chitaka says..

Both of these anime involve a school based around futuristic fighting and military arts. There is just the right mix of normal school life and futuristic combat in both. That and the male leads are very similar in both in that they're both sort of misfits that have special abilities and several girls vying for their affections..though more so in IS.

TomikelT says..

Both anime follow the Harem genre. Infinte Stratos is more blunt about relationships and is more about arena combat. Chrome Shelled Regios has a more suttle approch to the relationships and is more or less watching Layfon kill every polluted beast while the girls and bystanders watch in awww.

TenaciousJ728 says..

Watching the first few episodes of IS, Chrome Shelled Regios flashed through my head. Both..

  • involve studying in some sort of academy to prepare students for combat
  • take place in the future
  • fall under Harem in a sense
  • students' combat skills are used in an arena.. for the most part

Characters aside, they're only different because IS uses mecha-ish exoskelletons as a 'power' as opposed to CSR which actually uses psychic powers.

Sekirei

Musubi isn't the last to claim Minato as her Ashibaki, and what's worse, plenty of other Sekirei and opponents stand in his way!

Reasons you might like Sekirei..

MeowSirsXD says..

they both have a good paced plot not too fast not too slow they both have a fair amount of comedy and the same theme which is theres only one guy and hes surrounded by girls, enjoy

Nikolas3 says..

If you ever watched IS you have to watch Sekirei and Freezing. If you like that kinda of anime style then those two are good to watch before or after. Just watch them both and i promise you will not regret.

hamletsmage says..

Both of these anime surround a young man that ends up with a large harem of very powerful women. The girls are constantly fighting, and they all have unique, often conflicting personalities. There is at least one busty blonde and one tsundere. If you liked that in the first, try the second.

Date a Live

  • TV(12 eps)
  • 2013

Shido Itsuka was born in a world where widespread catastrophes of varying size called spacequakes can happen anytime and anywhere, razing everything in the vicinity. When his city's alarm forewarns one impending, the teenager races to his sister Kotori in an attempt to rescue her. But upon his arrival, the spacequake transpires in that very spot, and standing in the middle of the destruction is a beautiful sword-wielding girl. Soon after, he learns she is one of many beings called 'Spirits' who cause the disasters, and charming those like her is the solution to preventing them. Effective immediately, Shido must date Spirits and make them fall in love with him, because if he cannot, mankind's destruction may very well be inevitable.

Reasons you might like Date a Live..

Thrawn says..

One guy surrounded by superpowered babes with fights aplenty, flash and pizzazz, some heroics and a harem in the making. The guy's natural charisma attracts the babes and in Date a Live, with the aid of an organization bent on getting him babes. Total opposite to the main of Infinite Stratos, who is beyond help. Both have their romantic hijinks, tender moments and are surprisingly good, better than they should be at first glance.

And some totally kickass outfits that accentuate the gluts and chest.

Brad says..

Both of these series feature a group of dominant females as they form a harem with a fairly bland male protagonist who has a special ability. Both series try to do a little bit of everything, with comedy, ecchi, drama and action all thrown into the mixer. Neither are particularly brilliant in terms of plot or character development, but if you enjoyed one chances are high that you will enjoy the other.

hamletsmage says..

Both anime start off with one girl vying for the MC's attention, but quickly piles on the ladies. And these aren't just your ordinary ladies, no. These are superpowered ladies that could probably level a building if they got too upset. The ladies fight each other and other entities quite often; in fact it's most of the show. So, if you liked that in one, go watch the other.
